How to complete the challenge
Weeks 1-3 |
Create a brainstorm/mind map on what students already know on the keywords 'digital', 'native' and 'citizen'. Watch the stage appropriate stimulus clip above. Unpack key ideas from the clip. Introduce the 'BIG QUESTION' 'What does Digital Citizenship mean to you and why is it important for all students?'
The target audience will be their peers. During each week of the term, work through resources available on the following website on Digital Citizenship: |
Weeks 4-5 |
Introduce the concept and history of comics. (See T3 resources).
Explain to students, they will be creating an e-comic to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the 'BIG QUESTION'. Build a vocabulary wall associated with the 'BIG QUESTION' to use for their e-comic. (E.g. Build a word cloud (Tagxedo) and share on your class Edmodo group. |
Weeks 6-7 |
Draft the story for your e-comic with the emphasis on addressing the 'BIG QUESTION'. Storyboard your scenes (E.g. Characters, speech/think bubbles etc) Explore comic creating tools in the resources page or choose one you are already familiar with on any platform or device (e.g. tablet technology).

Pubilsh your final e-Comic and submit your work sample through the submission page. Submit e-Comic
